Education Sub-Committee - Strata and Community Australia (SCA)

Rachael Kwawegen, Managing Director of The Strata Agency is pleased to announce that our General Manager, Rod Smith has been invited to join the Education Sub-Committee with Strata and Community Australia (SCA).

Widely regarded as the industry peak body, the SCA supports the strata sector. The education sub-committee is responsible for setting the agenda in regards to training and continuing professional development for individuals involved with strata living.

The sub-committee is currently investigating ways to deliver courses online including the continuing professional development requirements and the strata manager certificate of registration course. As an online resource, individuals who live in remote areas will be able to complete the courses without the need for significant travel.

The sub-committee is also looking at the current certificate of registration program, to ensure that the managers coming through the course understand the responsibilities of providing outstanding strata management service to clients.

At The Strata Agency we have consciously chosen the corporate objective of taking strata forward not just for our clients directly but for strata schemes throughout NSW. Rod’s appointment is the ideal way that one of our key personnel can continue to advance strata schemes for the better.

“Involvement in the SCA is a way of giving back to the industry. It is important for the decision makers actively working in the industry to set the agenda for training and education,” said Rod.

“I presently manage a number of key clients for The Strata Agency, and I am hopeful of being able to provide additional ground level insights into the challenges that our schemes face.”

If you have any further questions regarding Rod’s involvement with Strata and Community Australia or strata living in general, do not hesitate to contact Rod on at The Strata Agency.
